I'm a sucker for a holiday tradition.
In 2005, I made this no-bake Peanut Butter pie for Thanksgiving. Eleven years later, a unique, Tori-made Thanksgiving treat can always be counted on.
In 2006, J (my bestie) and I made a night out of visiting the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. Ten years later, are holiday tradition lives on.
In 2014, I painted my first turkey-inspired nail art. Three years later, I present you with these cuties!
I used all 2016 Fall collection colors, starting with Essie's Kimono-Over, Maki Me Happy, and Playing Koi for the feathers. The pigmentation in these shades are SPOT on! They made painting turkey feathers a breeze :).
For the turkey face, I used OPI's Squeaker of the House as the base. As seems to totally be the norm in this year's Washington DC collection, this shade was beautifully pigmented and glided smooth on the nail :).
I used Playing Koi again for the beak and Maki Me Happy for that little nose piece. (Does anyone ever really know what that piece is called without googling it?! If you do -- I now nominate you as my forever animal trivia partner :))
There's one other tradition that Turkey nails hold - It's how I say goodbye to fall nail art ;(. 2016 was a complete winner for Fall polish shades and formulation. But, you know what they say...
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas." Stay tuned!
