Hello!

Happy Friday and Merry Christmas!
(and Happy Holidays if Christmas isn't your jam!)

I hope that you and yours are having a wonderful holiday filled with good health, delicious food, and all the hygge you can handle.

Our families are spread across the east coast so B and I typically spend Christmas at home.

That means that this year isn't too different than years past. We'll still be video calling with our families. We'll still be enjoying a cozy and quiet Christmas at home. Instead of getting dolled up and going out to eat, we ordered a to-go meal this year so that we can still support our local businesses.

I'm thankful for this consistency in a year that's been anything but!

Speaking of consistency, let's take a look back at last week's recap...

What I Bought

I'm still on a bit of an unintentional shopping freeze. I love sweaters so much but even I know that there are only so many that you can wear in one winter 😂.

Instead, B and I are saving up for a few new furniture investments in our soon-to-be first home! We'll have more space in this home that we've ever had previously. (More than 1300 square feet - that's more than double what we had when we lived in NYC lol)

That means we can actually fit a sofa AND a loveseat! The small joys of city living, amirite? 😂

We love the look of midcentury modern pieces that combine B's love of modern with my heart eyes for vintage. So we're heavily leaning toward this couch and this loveseat.

I'm also on the lookout for a new coffee table and side tables. We've had this table for 6 and 1/2 years and it is SO functional! But it's also seen better days after doubling as our coffee and dining table for most of that time.

Since we bought this dining table earlier this year, we're ready to move on to a more updated and stylish coffee table. I haven't yet found one that I love but I'll share when I do!

Last Week's Buys - Yay or Nay?

Last week I scooped up my holy grail Mascara combo of this and this

This pair continues to make my lashes look longer and thicker than they do without it! I've been using this combo for over three years so I highly, highly recommend it.

Reading Right Now

I'm finally half way through this. The more I read, the more on the fence I am about it. I'll wait until I finish it to give my final thoughts.

Watching Right Now

We're still watching Empires of New York on CNBC and The Last Dance on Netflix. They're both so entertaining! I'm such a sucker for a good documentary mini-series. I find them even more interesting than fiction a lot of the time.

I also finally watched Little Women! This book eluded me in my childhood. I tried to read it earlier this year but I had a hard time relating to it. So I figured I'd give the movie a shot instead.

I heard that the 1994 version is often considered a Christmas movie so I gave it a go. It was cute! I still think it would have better served me if I watched it when I was closer in age to the characters. I enjoyed it though, nevertheless.

B and I also watched Home Alone - a Christmas classic!

Listening to Right Now

Here are the last few holiday songs that made my 2020 playlist special:

This song because it's so darn catchy and fun. It keeps getting stuck in my head!

This song because it's a copy of a copy to make Christmas gold. It's Bing's original copied to include the London Symphony Orchestra in 2018. Then covered by the Pentatonix this year to include their vocals. Genius!

This song because I've never taken the time to listen to, and learn, this original. It's just simply beautiful.

Enjoying Right Now

All of the magic that the holiday season has given us during this very challenging year. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for stopping by today 😀
